  • How much do public sector organisations really save by using an e-commerce marketplace?

    It's correct to be wary or even cynical when IT companies brag about the massive efficiencies they can offer their clients - if they don't supply any proof.

    However, EGS has hard facts... because over the past 12 months, many of our customers have told us exactly what they've been saving.

    Findings include the following:

    • A city council reduced its processing cost from £60 to £26 per transaction with EGS. This is expected to drop to just £16 with E-Invoicing. The council has 250,000 transactions a year.
    • A college reduced its purchase-to-pay costs per order from £7 to less than £1, streamlining procurement processes and eliminating all paper-based purchase orders.
    • A county council expects to save £500K and get an ROI within 6-12 months by introducing E-Invoicing across the organistion.
