  • EGS now No.1 in another sector as word spreads
  • March 2011
  • EGS has demonstrated how its versatile solutions can deliver substantial rewards to organisations and businesses of every type – after establishing itself as the dominant provider in another sector within a matter of months.

Since June last year, 24 universities have selected EGS to provide a range of services relating to e-procurement and automated invoice processing. Keele University, Newcastle University and the University of Liverpool are among those new customers bringing EGS’s customer base in higher education to 41.

“The news underlines the portability of EGS’s purchase-to-pay (P2P) solutions and our highly-popular electronic invoicing (e-invoicing) service,” says Peter Whent, Chief Executive of EGS. “With e-invoicing especially, we have a service that everyone seems to want.

“Our traditional strength lies in local government. But our solutions are now spreading rapidly across the public and commercial sectors. This is because most organisations have a universal goal that they can achieve with EGS … needing to make dramatic savings by replacing expensive back-office processes with cloud-based, on-demand alternatives.

”Customers also trust our outstanding reputation and our proven technology, which requires no hardware and can be delivered within weeks.”

All of EGS’s new university customers have signed four-year contracts and can now look forward to reduced purchasing costs, greater spending visibility and stronger compliance. Most have also chosen EGS’s paperless e-invoicing service which automates invoice processing and approval, accepting invoices in multiple formats from thousands of suppliers via a single interface.
